Terms of Service
Prisoncall Australia — The Freebird & Co Pty Ltd. These Terms of Service govern your use of prisoncall.com.au and the BE.FREE service.
1. The Service
Prisoncall Australia provides a dedicated local geographic phone number (DID) near a Victorian or NSW correctional facility. The number is routed to your nominated Australian mobile, allowing inmates to call you at local landline rates. The service is exclusively available for prisons in Victoria (VIC) and New South Wales (NSW).
2. Eligibility
By subscribing, you confirm that your loved one is currently incarcerated in a Victorian or NSW correctional facility and that you are the person who will receive calls on your nominated mobile number.
3. Plans and Billing
We offer subscription plans with various billing periods. All plan prices are inclusive of GST. Current plan options and pricing are displayed at checkout and on our website. Payments are processed via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. A 10% discount applies automatically when you have two or more active plans under the same account.
4. DID Number Provisioning
Your local DID number will be provisioned within 24 hours of payment. You are responsible for providing the number to the inmate so they can register it with the prison phone system. Prison registration typically takes 4–7 business days.
5. DID Number Changes
If your loved one is transferred, we will provide a new DID number for the new prison free of charge upon request. A 15-day overlap period applies. Once a DID number is released, it cannot be recovered.
6. Service Availability
We provide 99.9% uptime. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance. Call quality depends on mobile network coverage at your location. If the subscriber's mobile is off or out of coverage, calls will not connect — this is an accepted limitation of the service.
7. Acceptable Use
The service must only be used for lawful personal communication with an incarcerated person. You must not use the service for any illegal purpose or attempt to circumvent prison security protocols.
8. Cancellation
See our Cancellation Policy. You may cancel at any time. Service continues until the end of the current billing period.
9. Refunds
See our Refund Policy. Due to the digital nature of the service, refunds are generally not available once your DID number is provisioned.
10. Limitation of Liability
Prisoncall Australia is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including inability to receive calls due to prison-side issues, mobile carrier issues, or inmate registration delays.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
